Schedule Your New Worker Orientation
Newly arrived UC academic workers attend orientations to learn about their contractual rights, meet other new academic workers, and become members of their union. These orientations provide important context for new academic workers and are a key part of starting work at any UC campus, and academic workers have negotiated clauses in our contracts that require the University to schedule them.
Student Workers: Email organize@uaw4811.org to contact an organizer about attending or scheduling an orientation in your department. These orientations are part of your paid time.
Postdocs and Academic Researchers: Email organize@uaw4811.org to schedule a one-on-one orientation with another Postdoc or Academic Researcher on your campus.
